Olive oil from Crete is one of the most sought-after in the world and has an outstanding quality. The orthodox Chrysopigi monastery is located in the west of the Cretan island near Chania in the region of Kolymbari, which is well-known for its famous olive oil.
For more than ten years, the nuns of the Chrysopigi monastery have gained experience in the organic cultivation of olives and also in organic citriculture.
The olives of the "Koroneikes" and "Tsouantes" varieties, of which the Chrysopigi olive oil is made, grow excellently in the warm and sun-flooded climate of the Cretan island and create this superior oil, which has a pleasant fruity taste and a mild finish.
Due to its versatility, you can use Chrysopigi olive oil for finishing salads as well as for frying and baking. In addition, the Chrysopigi olive oil has a characteristic low acidity.
All olives used for making the Chrysopigi olive oil are hand-picked and cold-pressed, solely using mechanical means.
The oil comes from the first pressing, which means that it is of extra-virgin quality.
Take a delicious piece of Mediterranean lifestyle to your home with Chrysopigi organic olive oil from Crete!
Certification
The oil is certified by the Greek certifying body DIO (EL-01-BIO)
A copy of the certificate is available on request.
